SUMMARY:
With headquarters in our new, modern office space in Tysons, VA our Account Executives find pressing cybersecurity challenges facing our customers and bring together the resources needed to solve them.  You’ll work with a portfolio of leading enterprise software providers, top-notch emerging technologies and a network of procurement enabling strategies to make it possible and easy for our customers to acquire and use cybersecurity software tools.  First and foremost, you’ll be a customer advocate and use deep customer knowledge matched with creative alignment of technologies and acquisition practices to get the right software in use as soon as possible.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deeply understand your customer: You are your customer’s representative to and within Merlin.  We believe in our product portfolio and would love to see your customers use software from it, but our shared success comes from your ability to solve their problems both pressing and latent.
  • Actively engage: The landscape of cybersecurity software, tools and solutions is evolving rapidly.  Our customers and teams expect to hear from you routinely and with pertinent information.  We use all manners of media to stay abreast of the latest news and updates and expect you to actively participate in both creating and sharing knowledge.  Whether it is developing a whitepaper, sharing relevant stories on social media, speaking at relevant industry events or leading a focus group, your active participation is critical to success.
  • Develop and mature your pipeline: This is your business portfolio.  Leverage your passion for cybersecurity, entrepreneurial creativity and in-depth understanding of challenges facing stakeholders in your territory to seek, find and win opportunities.  
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 7+ years of Enterprise Software Sales and Account Management skills required
  • Experience in lead generation and customer service
  • Preferred experience with the Institute for Security Governance (ISG)
  • Contract negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity industry and products
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
