Solutions Architect


  • Converting prospect requirements into Riverbed architectures
  • Positioning (writing, briefing, drawing, e-mailing) the technical value of Riverbed technologies to prospects
  • Answering technical questions on Riverbed technologies for customers
  • Writing responses to solicitations for Riverbed-based opportunities


  • Product Experience with Riverbed Technologies (SteelCentral, SteelHead, SteelFusion)
  • Network engineering/architecture experience
  • Experience being a Solutions (Sales) Engineer
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing with diverse (business and technical) audiences

Education Requirements:  

  • Experience being a sales engineer at a real-world technology company
  • BS degree in computer science, engineering, math or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Current certifications in some or all of the Riverbed products mentioned above.

Preferred Skills:  

  • Certified as a Cisco CCNA
