CA Spectrum Administrator
Perform requirements analysis for new system features, analysis of current system capabilities and limitations and design/engineer new system capabilities to meet requirements in an architect capacity only.
Provide SME level support on network and infrastructure monitoring tools such, CA Spectrum and other similar system management tools.
Integrate network and infrastructure monitoring tools with other monitoring systems and reporting/dashboard tools.
Train development, National Service Desk, IT, and performance testing staff on the use of the network and infrastructure performance monitoring and availability systems to find the root cause of performance issues.
Assist in developing, as part of a team, standards, policies and procedures around the use of the network and infrastructure performance monitoring and availability suite of products in the pre-production and production environments. All recommendations shall be provided to the COR/VA PM(s) prior to implementation or changes.
Participate in tuning and troubleshooting efforts.
Work with customers to resolve identified performance issues.
Adhere to all SDE EO program and naming standards.
Support, install, configure, and perform fault isolation for server migration/operating system upgrades. The migration/upgrade shall be accomplished on time and with insignificant user impact.
Document the technical procedures and guidelines used to install, configure and administer servers. Create a complete documentation package from the gathered information.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or business related field preferred
12+ years senior-level experience with CA Spectrum Administration or similar software
Significant experience with CA software supporting large enterprise installations (100+ servers) across a national infrastructure. Should have experience in monitoring software / hardware performance, integrating disparate hardware to operate with Unix environment
Implementation and support of the Unix software on both physical and virtual platforms
Position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Significant experience with CA Spectrum
Experience with continuous process improvement methods relating to both IT and business processes including the use of dashboard, KPIs and process analysis techniques.
Demonstrable experience leading a globally distributed IT team, setting accountabilities and providing development coaching.
