Senior Data Security Analyst (PENTEST)

The Senior Data Security Analyst will provide the customer with advice and operational support regarding penetration testing and other related tools as necessary.


Candidate will assist the customer with the development of Rules of Engagement (ROE) documents for upcoming penetration test engagements. Candidate will also support the customer and other consultants with the planning and execution of penetration tests.  These engagements are designated test security measures, security posture, incident response and application security, including but not limited to web applications. Candidate will also be required to document and create final reports on the tests performed and will make recommendations regarding countermeasures and mitigations for any vulnerabilities found and exploited. Candidate will also be expected to provide additional support to other team members pertaining to malware analysis, incident response, scripting, software development and digital forensics.


  • Designing, executing and reporting on penetration tests to fulfill customer requirements
  • Security and Hacking Tools such as NMAP, Nessus, WebInspect, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Kali Linux
  • Relational database management systems (RDMS) and Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Web-based attacks and vulnerabilities such as code injection, CSRF, and SQL Injection
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation and network diagrams

Desired Certifications:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • GIAC Certifications (GCIH, GPEN, GWAPT, GAWN, or GXPN)
  • Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)
  • Licensed Penetration Tester (LPT)
  • Security+

Qualifications/Education requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant work experience required or at least 8 years of IT experience and at least 5 years directly related to the required area of expertise.

Preferred Skills: 

Strong background in Incident Response
Strong knowledge of Hyptertext Transport Protocol (HTTP)
Ability to analyze and interpret PCAP data
Malware Analysis and/or Reverse Engineering
Digital Forensics with tools such as EnCase
Programming and/or scripting experience with Python, JavaScript and/or VBScript
Exploit development and fuzzing
