Systems Architect

Requirements:

  • Subject matter expert in the integration, planning, and implementation of the ePO application functionalities within an enterprise solution.  The architect is responsible for the sound design of the ePO solution and understanding its interfaces with other McAfee products and network environments for planning, operations, troubleshooting, deployment planning and upgrades for the McAfee product suite. 
  • Consult throughout the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience related to the ePO administration activities to include changing ePO policies, conducting migrations, patches, upgrades, enhancements, monitoring, and troubleshooting.   Specific skill sets around VSE/AV and HIPS design, deployment and McAfee product expansions are mandatory for this position. 
  • 5-7 years of work experience and working knowledge of the SDLC
  • 5-7 years of work experience in host security infrastructure and security solutions,
  • 5 years’ experience modeling, designing, and implementing complex systems integrations in a federal environment.
  • Experience administering McAfee Enterprise Policy Orchestrator (4.6, 5.X).
  • Experience working System Policy management/change management
  • Demonstrated experience supporting an Enterprise-level end point security solutions (100,000-plus nodes across the enterprise and in regional offices remotely). Experience should include both on-premise and cloud / as a service based solutions.
  • Experience designing, managing or implementing complex enterprise IT infrastructure modernization and/ or transformation.
  • Experience implementing or administering virtualization technologies (VMWare, HPE, etc.) and working knowledge of virtualization concepts (SDN, SDDC, etc.)
  • Knowledge and working experience with some of the following of McAfee products:
  •  ePO 5.x
  • Virus Scan Enterprise (8.8)
  • Host Intrusion Protection (HIPS)
  • Working Knowledge of MS SQL, Storage devices (NetApp), Switches (Cisco) and Servers (F5 and Cisco)
  • Demonstrated ability to abstract and communicate complex technical principals for a business audience, including executive level customers.
  • Perform related duties, as assigned or requested
  • Ability to acquire and maintain VA credentials

Duties:

  • Lead the design and development of software or infrastructure architectures
  • Ensure, in cooperation with business representatives, that technical designs are consistent with business requirements
  • Ensure, in co-operation with designed user representative, the cohesion of the design with Enterprise Architecture vision and requirements
  • Provide and maintain conceptual data models in conjunction with Program Office
  • Provide support in drawing up and maintaining a multi-year implementation roadmap for systems, and propose solutions for such systems
  • Provide input into the development of systems and standards
  • Responsible for the evaluation of technological solutions and support the development of systems and software
  • Participate in projects to manage the solution design, in compliance with policies and standards, working proactively to maintain a stable, viable architecture
  • Act as subject-matter expert
  • Participate in Proof of Concepts to answer Architecture concerns
  • Check that the deliverables meet the standards and solutions defined
  • Advise and guide Quality Assurance activity
  • Advise on the  Configuration management of application/software changes
  • Perform tasks outside of regular business hours as required 
  • Provide After Hour on Call support, as needed
  • Work with Program Managers and customers on key initiatives
  • Perform related duties, as assigned or requested

Education Requirements: 

  • Minimum B.S. or B.A. degree in related field. Masters and Ph.D. recipients can count post-graduate education years towards overall experience.
